One of my favorite seasons for fashion is summer. New trends in sundresses, shorts, and tank tops are so exciting for me and always have something unexpected. In an article written by Seventeen Magazine, they explain some trends we can expect to see this summer!
1. Sheer Dresses and Slips
We can definitely expect to see a lot of see through fabrics this summer. With many looks on red carpets being see through, this is expected to carry over throughout the summer. Although all of us aren't going to the Met Gala, we can see the see through trend in a breezy and beachy way with fabrics that are loose. These loose fabrics will be a hit during the hot summer and can be layered over bathing suits for beach and pool days!
2. Simple White Tanks
With the trend of layering staying for the summer, we all need to invest in a trusty shirt to wear under. The trusty shirt of the summer will be white tank tops. With a piece as simple and versatile as the white tank top, there are endless options and styles to choose from. The beauty of the white tank is that two people with completely different styles could both utilize this trend and come up with an outfit that matches their preferred style.
3. Tube Tops
Along with white tanks, we can also see tube tops. Tube tops will be a hit this summer due to the fact that it is strapless. We have been seeing a lot of strapless looks on celebrities this spring which is now following through to the summer. These tube tops can be patterned , plain, sparkly, or whatever you need to feel confident! I personally love this trend because its so versatile and can be paired with any bottom!
4. 70s Styles and Color
If you've seen Daisy Jones and the Six, you know that 70s fashion will definitely be trending this summer. We can expect to see crochet tops, colorful styles, clogs, and flare jeans all summer long. We can also expect to see colorful sneakers. Colorful sneakers, like classic Adidas, will be very popular and very needed to add a pop of color and excitement to basics!
After I officially wrap up the semester, I need to stock up on some summer fashions. I will definitely keep all these tips in mind!
