In recent years, self care has become more popular. As someone with a lot of stressers in my life, I find self care to be something that makes me feel more at ease. One of the things I love most about self care is that it can be different for everyone. Examples of self care can be going on a drive, doing a face mask, working out, journaling, lighting a candle, and much much more. The process of taking time for yourself is so individualized which makes it so much more special to the person doing it. In my life, I have a full class schedule, work, and extracurriculars to deal with. All of that tied to together with my social life can be hard to balance, so setting aside time for self care is crucial. Without me time, I would not be able to maintain my positive personality and would likely be very drained. I am definitely considered to be a people person and loving talking and being around others, but taking time for yourself is beneficial for your mental health.

You make a good point in that self-care looks different for everyone. I need to start working out more...but I'm not sure I would call it self-care or that it will be as good as lighting a candle :-). Thanks for the tips!
